JIRA Integration, change urgency

What is the best way to change urgency or severity within PagerDuty for an incident that starts in JIRA and is pulled into PagerDuty via the JIRA integration?

It does not appear as though it is possible to send such incidents to the service orchestration.

Unfortunately, the Jira Cloud integration does not support synchronization of urgency or severity after issue creation - it only supports two-way synchronization for priority.

if you just wanted to be able to select between High and Low urgency incidents a workaround might be:

  • Create two services, one set to high urgency other set to low urgency
  • route to the different services based on the JQL
